Work, homework & a mid-term exam

I have been working long hours, had a lot of homework to do for my Disney classes , and had to sit a mid-term exam in this last week or two, so I haven't had a lot of time to play in the parks.
The Magic Kingdom is becoming much busier, and the closing hours are often extended at short notice. This usually means our shifts are forcible extended too, which can make for long days and very late night/early morning finishes.
My classes are still really interesting, though the homework can take up quite a bit of my time.
One of my recent assignments involved a 'field trip' to the Florida Mall, a big shopping centre here in Orlando. I have been a couple of times before, but rarely buy anything as things are dear and I have no money (Disney pay is pretty bad!).
It was fun to go around making observations with my group  for the class though.

Narelle, Sheldon, Rachel, Rachel & Marilyn
My results for the mid-term in the creativity class were pretty pleasing, as I got 98%! This week I have to hand in the Ideas Journal I have been keeping for the past 9 weeks too. It will seem strange not to have to find things to write in it each week now!

Universal Studios

Went back to Universal to visit the 'other' park. There are 2 parks, one has the Harry Potter world and the other is the more traditional Universal park experience.
I got there about 10am and thought I would just pop into Potter World thinking it might not be too crowded yet, so wrong. The wait for the castle ride was already 2 hours, so I just got some frozen butterbeer and watched the Hogwarts choir, complete with singing toads.(They must have been soooo hot)

Then I switched over to the other park. This place was much less crowded and the most I had to wait for any ride was about 15 mins. My favourite rides were the Mummy, an indoor themed rollercoaster, and the Simpsons ride, which is an awesome simulator ride.

The Twister experience re-creates the scene in the film where the drive-in gets destroyed by the massive tornado, I seriously do not like tornadoes!
I really liked the E.T. ride and the Shrek 4D movie experience too. The Jaws boat ride was hilarious with the boat driver having to act out the whole shark attack scenario!
