And the rain, rain, rain, came down, down, down.....

On Sunday the humidity here in sunny Florida was very high, the park was packed and the sweat was flowing! On Monday morning at approximately 5am a huge thunderstorm hit the area, the thunder and lighting continued until about 11am but the heavy rain came down all day. I had finished work at 3:30am on the Monday morning so slept through most of the actually storm, when I woke up around ten I thought it would be a good day to stay in bed! So I watched a dvd of the first series of the Disney cartoon Gargoyles from the 90's.

When I eventually had to go to work it was still bucketing down. Disney provide very flattering (not) raincoats for such occasions, but I still got pretty wet that day. Standing out in the rain providing direction and assistence to a practically empty park as an interesting experience though, particularly when by 10pm there were less than 8000 people in the entire park and we were open until 1am!

Everyone thought it was going to rain all week but by the time I woke the next morning around 9am the skies were clear again and back to being sunny Florida!
