Gee it's a Wonderful Game!

The Housing Programs office organized a trip to a baseball game at Tropicana Field in Tampa Bay, to see the New York Yankees play the Tampa Bay Rays. As it didn't cost too much and I had this day off I decided I should see at least one baseball game while I am here in America.
The bus trip took about an hour and a half, as it traversed across Florida, and we got to see the Gulf of Mexico. Tropicana Field is a massive, completely indoor field like a big UFO beside the sea.
We were given a voucher for food at the game which consisted of a hot dog, cracker jacks and a drink. They also gave us a cool Tampa Bays baseball cap as a souvenir!

Me in my Tampa Bays cap, eating a hot dog at the baseball game at Tropicana Field
The food was pretty foul, here in America they don't heat their frankfurters with hot water, they do this weird rolling grill thing which makes them taste pretty yuck!

The game was quite interesting, I didn't really know or understand everything that was going on but I got the main gist of it, and we got to see 4 home runs! The field was pretty crowded for an evening game mid-week (a Tuesday) and the atmosphere was excellent, lots of families with kids and people having a good time together.
The New York Yankees won the game (6-2 I think was the final score). Baseball doesn't seem to be a paticularly big scoring game, but they love to provide all the statistics on everything up on the big screens around the field!
I'm glad I got to experience a baseball game but I think football is more interesting to watch!

Have a Magical Day and Watch Your Step!
